As official sponsors of the “Man Up” campaign
• Europe’s top MMA organization joins forces with CFM
• Man Up: MMA’s International Fight against Human Trafficking
• UCMMA/Cage Rage President/Promoter Dave O’Donnell speaks out
(Los Angeles 21st, April) The UK’s most noticeable promotion UCMMA has signed on as a co-sponsor of Coalition Fight Music’s “Man Up” campaign against Human Trafficking. Ultimate Challenge, formally known as “Cage Rage” (before Elite XC bought them and went belly up) has long been the proving grounds for many Pride/UFC fighters like Anderson Silva, Vitor Belfort, Paul Daley, Phil Baroni, Dan Hardy, Mike Bisping, and Ken Shamrock.
Dave O’Donnell (UK/Europe’s #1 MMA Promoter) say’s: “We are in a great position to help people less fortunate than ourselves. Ultimate Challenge is big enough to put on events, to get into the cage and to put our hands in our pockets to support this worthy cause. We are doing anything we can with White Collar MMA to help this campaign, so let’s all pull together to make this a success and knock out Human Trafficking”
Tony Savo (CFM’s CEO/Producer) say’s: “When it comes down to it, I can’t think of any thing better than the toughest guys on the planet (Pro MMA Fighters) tackling the toughest topic of the day (Human Trafficking). Now Europe’s top Fight Organization has signed on to make The “Man Up” campaign a real international effort on multiple continents.”
The “Man Up” campaign is an international effort by those in the MMA community to combat the silent epidemic of Human Trafficking occurring in the US/UK. Most people “trafficked” are children for the purpose of sexual exploitation. The slogan for the “Man Up” campaign is “fighters are warriors, warriors protect things, especially the kids”. The campaigns first official spokesman was none other than UFC/Pride Legend “The New York Bad Ass” Phil Baroni.
Coalition Fight Music has been at the cutting edge of “Fight Music” even formally developing the genre early last year. The band quickly amassed a following in the UK for their ‘MMA approach to music’ – mixing various forms of popular music like a professional Mixed Martial Artist mixes different forms of combat to guarantee victory. Coining the term “Kings of Fight Music” with the release of MMA’s 1st MixTape, MMA’s 1st Album, MMA’s 1st Smash-Up, and MMA’s 1st Official Music Video in association with UCMMA fighter Mark ‘Wartime’ Carling. The band has even secured a spot on Kung Fu factory’s/505 Games forthcoming MMA video game, “Supremacy MMA” in stores June 7th.
