Clay Guida vs. Showtime Pettis slated for UFC 130 or 131

Thank whatever higher power you believe in, I found an artist that actually buys into the fact Clay Guida is Blanka from Street Fighter 2, something that I’ve been screaming on MiddleEasy for nearly two years. No idea who the guy is, but he has a website with a variety of MMA fighter illustrations, composed in vibrant colors reminiscent of LSD trips and arduous pointillism. Unfortunately, this artist doesn’t have an illustration of Anthony ‘Showtime’ Pettis, perhaps someone should inform this unnamed artist that both fighters are slated to bang at UFC 130 or UFC 131.

Heavy.com claims that sources close to the website have informed them that Showtime Pettis has decided not to wait for the winner of Frankie Edgar vs. Gray Maynard III (which could take up to eight to ten months), and has decided to take on Clay Guida while the judges eventually come to a conclusion on who was the winner at UFC 125. We’re still not sure what will happen if Clay Guida defeats Showtime Pettis, but one can only assume that The Carpenter will be next in-line for a title shot if that scenario goes down. [Source]
