Christian Leroy Duncan delivered one of the most spectacular finishes of the night at UFC Vegas 111, flooring Marco Tulio with a perfectly timed spinning backfist that ended the bout in devastating fashion.
The English middleweight came out sharp from the opening bell, mixing creative strikes with calculated pressure. Early in the first round, Duncan connected with a spinning back elbow that split Tulio open, instantly drawing cheers from the crowd. The cut only seemed to fire Duncan up as he began dictating the pace with precision striking and slick footwork.
By the second round, Duncan had found his rhythm. After feinting to draw Tulio forward, he spun sharply and landed a crushing backfist flush on the chin. Tulio staggered backward, his balance gone, and Duncan immediately followed with a clean right hand that sent the Brazilian crashing face-first to the canvas.
The referee stepped in at 3:20 of Round 2, officially awarding Duncan the knockout victory.
