Chris Weidman (14-4 MMA, 10-4 UFC) scored only one win in his last five bouts. He was finished by Jacare Souza at UFC 230. Prior to that, “The All-American” earned a submission win over Kelvin Gastelum and lost to Gegard Mousasi, Yoel Romero, and Luke Rockhold via stoppage.
Weidman’s next rival is unknown at the moment. There is a chance he might square off against Glover Teixeira or Aleksandar Rakic. It should definitively be someone from top 15. Maybe moving a division up is a great way to end his cold streak.
Give us your thoughts on this. Is this a good choice for Weidman?
