Chris Weidman Accept Jack ‘Joker’ Hermansson’s Challenge
After Jack Hermansson defeated Ronaldo Souza in the main event of UFC Fight Night 150 on (April 27, 2019) from Fort Lauderdale, Florida “The Joker” put the top names of the Middleweight division on the notice including former title contender Yoel Romer, former UFC champion Chris Weidman and Kelvin Gastelum.
“We want the big boys. I have three names in mind, Yoel Romero, Kelvin Gastelum, and Chris Wiedman, Those make sense for me,” Jack said on The Ariel Helwani MMA Show.
Hermansson also said a win over one of those guys would be a great thing on his resume.
Weidman caught wind of Hermansson’s call out as he took to social media and accept Jack’s challenge.

After his impressive win over Ronaldo, Jack surges to no. 5 in the latest UFC ranking surpasses “All American,” who’s at No. 7.
Jack’s main target is to take on Yoel ‘Soldier Of God’ Romero who hasn’t won any gold yet and his only losses since 2011 came against Robert Whittaker. So Hermanssons believes a win over him would secure him a shot at a title.
Chris Weidman is currently dealing with his neck and knee surgeries and aiming for a late summer return. Meanwhile, Romero is also recovering from Pneumonia if the promotion doesn’t rebook Costa vs. Romero again, Jack can have his chance on ‘Soldier Of God’ otherwise Chris is all ready to throw down with him.
