Cheick Kongo says he would be more than happy to fight Matt Mitrione

You probably already know that Cheick Kongo’s fists could rearrange the universe at will. That’s a scientific fact. Physicists in some university you’ve never heard of spent your tax dollars coming to that conclusion. Someone should have just told them to look at the guy’s career for clear evidence. Whenever I mention Cheick Kongo, I always feel obligated to include some ridiculously hard to understand scientific theory to illustrate just how amazing Kongo is inside the octagon. Usually, I mention something that is just so inaccurate that by the end of the sentence, people usually close the site and go do something else, like rearrange the pillows on their sofa.

Riddum.com caught up with Cheick Kongo to see if he could enlighten the world on the rumors floating around that he would face Matt Mitrione in an upcoming UFC event this June, and surprisingly, he loves Meathead.

“[Matt Mitrione] is a favorite of mine in the UFC, a great guy. I met him several times, he came off as a good person, the type of guy I like in life and as a fighter. If the UFC offered me this [match-up], I would gladly take it.”

While Meathead is a cool nickname, Cheick Kongo’s moniker of ‘Unstoppable’ definitely gets first place in the nickname grand-prix. If you’re a communist country and you have a list of countries you would like to blow up, you’re forced to scratch off all countries that has a dude named ‘Unstoppable’. Cheick Kongo also mentioned Shane Carwin and Ben Rothwell as possible opponents for his June 2011 return. [Source]
