Calling these promotion pictures of Gina Carano in ‘Haywire’ emo is the only way I can describe them. Sure they’re gritty and drowned in an aesthetic of ‘neo-gothic’, but it all comes down to a three letter word that denotes an extreme sense of apathy towards life: emo. There’s a joke out there, something about cutting lawns and being emo. It’s not that funny, so I won’t repeat it. If it was funny, I still wouldn’t repeat it, but that’s primarily because I forgot it. What it comes down to is Gina Carano getting some dude in an armbar on a hotel bed, and that warrants your eyes’ complete attention. [Source]
