If it makes you feel any better, I’ve had to consult with Google every time to ensure that I spelled ‘Gustafsson’ correctly. The double ‘ss’ in the middle of the name throws me off and quite often I insert a double ‘ff’ instead. Actually, a double ‘ff’ would be ‘ffff’ — but I’m sure you guys get my point. The point being Sweden doesn’t give a damn about phonetics. They’ve been isolated in their Nordic landscape for so many generations that including double consonants is just a way of life over there.
Just minutes ago in Toronto, the UFC held their UFC 165 pre-fight press conference which included face-offs from the main card fighters — along with the highly anticipated staredown between Gustafsson and Jones. We do see that Alexander seems like the bigger fighter and according to his body language, he’s either waiting on something to cook in the oven or he really wants this fight to be over. Props to @ArielHelwani for the video.
