Just before this bout, Stephen Quadros and I spent nearly ten minutes talking about the rawesomeness that is Eduardo Pamplona’s highly underrated MMA career. The guy flattens individuals like linoleum flooring and Pamplona’s chin is just unparalleled in the MMA world — or so we thought. Throughout our rant, I was already writing the post-fight article, proclaiming that Eduardo won the fight via some extraordinary knockout. The fight begins, I close my laptop and literally seconds later Tyler Stinson knocks out Eduardo Pamplona in an extraordinary fashion. So in order not to waste a perfectly good article, this is what I would have published if Eduardo Pamplona won last weekend at Stirkeforce: Hendo vs. Fedor:
“We’ve been telling you guys for over two years about Eduardo Pamplona and his chin that is blatantly made of adamantium, but you guys refuse to listen to us. Tonight, Pamplona extended his winning streak to eleven consecutive wins and it’s ridiculous that he hasn’t been placed on our official Frate Trane list. He’s on the edge, we can assure you of this. Frate Traning isn’t an on-off switch. It’s a spiritual thing, and as long as Eduardo Pamplona continues to rob fighters’ of their biomechanical energy, he will rapidly approach official Frate Trane status. We can assure you of this.”
I even managed to create a banner that I can no longer use. This morning, MiddleEasy reader ‘Glockonfire’ sent us this never-before-seen video of Tyler Stinson shocking the world by knocking out Eduardo Pamplona — and you really need to check it out.
