This morning on the drive in to work I sat at a traffic light behind a car with a personalized license plate. You know the ones sometimes referred to as ‘vanity plates’ because the tag owner chooses what they believe to be some witty depiction of their persona. The one in front of my at the light in traffic this morning said “ICU H8N”. Also known as, “I see you hatin'” this plate was on the back of a giant monster truck style lifted truck with a set of chromed out testicles hanging from the bumper. I ended up having to go to the gas station behind this guy and when he got out of the truck he was wearing a pair of huge sunglasses, greasey slicked hair and a shirt three sizes too small which I’m guessing was to show off his puffy TRT chest. I ahve to say, this guy’s vanity license plate was completely appropriate, but not for the reasons in his mind I’m sure. This guy could probably use some lessons on humilty from Ryan Couture.
Ryan Couture might be the most humble fighter on the planet. Despite what anyone else might say he just doesn’t think he as a fighter is ready for main card Strikeforce fights yet. He doesn’t call out big name fighters or complain about fighting on Strikeforce Challengers cards. He enjoys the spot he is in and feels he is evolving and working his way up to bigger fights and will get them once he earns them.
