Charles Oliveira Choke Out Clay Guida In The First Round At UFC 225

Veteran lightweights Clay Guida and Charles Oliveira squared off in the preliminary card of tonight’s (Sat., June 9, 2018) at UFC 225 from inside United Center in Chicago, Illinois.

Submission specialist Charles Oliveira who was on three fright loss streak in his last four UFC fights, made history tonight by choking out Clay Guida via the first-round guillotine. This submission victory was the 10th in Oliveria career tying legendary Royce Gracie for the most wins via tap out in UFC history.

Guida tries hurling some good strikes early on, but Oliveira defended nicely with low kicks with Clay took some damage around his right eye. After some sharp strikes, Oliveria countered a jab, catching Guida alongside the cage and holding tight of his neck that landed them on the mat. Oliveira squeezed so hard that finish Guida via guillotine choke at two minutes of round one.

After tonight’s loss Guida two-fight winning streak snapped.
