Donald Cerrone will get his fight against Joe Lauzon.
The pair of lightweight veterans were originally supposed to collide at UFC 274 this past weekend.
That was, until Cerrone had to pull out on the day of the fight due to a severe case of food poisoning.
“They think what mind have happened is Donald ate something bad,” commentator Joe Rogan said on the broadcast. “Because he was throwing up, he couldn’t keep food down. He felt terrible.
“They tried to give him time to recover but I talked to Dr. [Jeff] Davidson and it was just not going to happen.”
Donald Cerrone vs. Joe Lauzon Rebooked For June 18
With that said, they won’t have to wait too long to throw down.
As per ESPN, the fight has been rebooked for the upcoming UFC Austin event which takes place June 18.

The news was also essentially confirmed by Cerrone himself.
It will be Cerrone’s first fight in front of fans since his January 2020 defeat to Conor McGregor. “Cowboy” will also be looking to snap a six-fight winless streak with his last outing being a TKO defeat to Alex Morono in May last year.
As for Lauzon, this will be his first fight since October 2019 where he TKO’d Jonathan Pearce.
UFC Austin is set to be headlined by a featherweight encounter between top contenders Calvin Kattar and Josh Emmett.
