Cecil Peoples will NOT judge Shogun vs. Machida II tomorrow

For those of you who aren’t familiar with Cecil Peoples, he was one of the three judges that scored UFC 104. He was also the same guy who judged the Bisping vs. Hamil match in favor of Bisping. Dude’s actually a well-respected martial-artist who received his black-belt in Karate under Master Ryusaki in North Hollywood. In fact, no one has really questioned Cecil People’s ‘martial-arts cred’ but it seems that everyone has something to say about the dude’s judging. The MMA world has said Cecil Peoples is running the sport, he’s a terrible judge and even so far to call Cecil the worst judge ever.

After Cecil ruled in favor of Machida at UFC 104 and suddenly proclaimed ‘leg kicks don’t win fights’, MMAweekly caught up with Peoples to see what other wisdom he had stored up his judging sleeves.

“So you in a bar with 200 people that are sloppy drunk, and you’re gonna argue with me about the decision?…How does that work? Only in America. I give the fight to Machida in a very, very close fight. Now you’re pissed off because it’s my fault that you lost your money. No, it’s not. It’s Machida’s fault.”

“If you don’t like it, you can go to hell.”

Yes folks, you’ve read exactly what you thought you read. You can go to the same hell where you will never see another episode of America’s Next Top Model or eat another Sonic Chili Cheese Dog ever again. That’s the worst type of hell folks. Today, Sherdog broke the news that Quebec’s Régie des Alcools des Courses et des Jeux will not be using Cecil Peoples for UFC 113 and will go with Sal D’Amato, Tony Weeks and Pasquale Procopio.

Take it easy everyone, we’re not in the clear yet. Sal D’Amato is the same judge who scored for Randy Couture over Brandon Vera at UFC 105, Aaron Simpson over Tom Lawlor at UFC: Fight Night 20 and Frankie Edgar over BJ Penn at UFC 112. I think we should all sacrifice a small mammal to the MMA gods tonight for this fight not to go to decision tomorrow. I’m kidding about the murdering innocent animals part (What’s up PETA).[Source]
