There’s not a convincing argument out there as to why Cain Velasquez can not take you down at any given moment. It was James Brown who said ‘you can’t get up until you get down’. Under Cain Velasquez’s laws of physics, that statement is 100% true. If Cain Velasquez invented a branch of science, all matter in this universe would end up on the ground at some point in time. It would also get ground and pounded by limbs that produced one of the nastiest heavyweight cuts we’ve seen inside the UFC this century
We heard the crowd polarize from resounding chants of ‘USA!‘ to ‘Brazil!‘ during Cain Velasquez vs. Bigfoot Silva. It was like a Run DMC concert, but instead of responding with waving your hands in the air like you just don’t care, you state your nationally instead. It’s sort of not that thrilling. Waving one’s hands in the air is a good way to let off steam. It’s also an excellent way to remind your neighbor how your armpits smell.
Tonight was Cain’s first bout inside the Octagon since he lost his first MMA fight against the current champion, Junior dos Santos on November 12th 2011. At UFC 146, we witnessed the same Cain Velasquez that ran through the UFC heavyweight division for over two years — and this bloody .gif provided by Zombie Prophet proves it.
