Bryce Mitchell, a UFC featherweight known for wild antics, is getting ready to face Jean Silva at UFC 314 on April 12, 2025, in Miami. On March 17, 2025, he took to Instagram with a video that’s got fans buzzing. He’s not just training his body but fighting off some freaky stuff in his sleep too. Mitchell says this isn’t a normal fight. He’s leaning on his faith to take on Silva and whatever else comes with him at the Kaseya Center.
Bad Dreams Pile Up
Mitchell’s been having a rough time since the UFC 314 press conference on March 7 in Las Vegas. He says every night turns into a nightmare mess.
“Good morning, y’all,” Bryce Mitchell speaks out in a video posted to Instagram. “I need all my Christian warriors to pray for me that I will have peaceful sleep. Every single night since the day before the press conference, I’ve had demonic dreams. Legions of demons are attacking me every single time I sleep, and not one time have I seen any peaceful sleep since that day.”
He’s begging fans to pray so he can rest easy.
Demons Push His Buttons
The nightmares aren’t random to Mitchell.
“These demons surround me, and they try to fight me and provoke me to anger, and then the dream will switch, and they’ll send beautiful women, and they’re trying to get me to lust, to cheat on my wife. Satan’s using two of my weaknesses to try to expose the evil in my own heart, which is anger and lust. However, where I am weak, the Lord is strong,” he said.
He thinks the devil’s hitting him where it hurts, but his faith keeps him solid.
That press conference set it off. Silva mocked Mitchell’s flat Earth talk with a globe and got the crowd chanting against him. Mitchell saw something darker.
“I’m not just fighting a man on April 12,” Mitchell said. “I’m fighting a man possessed by a legion of demons. When I simply said the name Jesus, he was provoked to maliciousness, and he started barking like a dog and chanting ‘F-you, f-you, f-you.”
He’s sure Silva’s got some evil backup.
Mitchell’s all in with a higher purpose now.
“Remember guys, the days of fighting for myself are long gone. I now fight for the name of the Lord and the devil, he ain’t gonna waste his time trying to plague a loser. He knows that a victory for the Lord is at hand. I will win this fight in the name of Jesus Christ. The man’s demons will be casted out of my presence and he will fall before me just as Goliath fell before King David,” he said.
He’s banking on God to knock Silva out cold.
Bryce Mitchell’s a 30-year-old Arkansas fighter with a 17 and 2 record. He’s 8 and 2 in UFC, coming off a knockout over Kron Gracie in December 2024 at UFC 310. He’s famous for oddball stuff like flat Earth rants.
Jean Silva’s a 28-year-old Brazilian with a perfect 17 and 0 record. He’s 4 and 0 in UFC, all knockouts, including Melsik Baghdasaryan in February 2025. He’s the betting favorite to smash Mitchell.
