- Movsar Evloev revisited his botched fight with Bryce Mitchell in a recent callout
- “Thug Nasty” is still interested in taking on Evloev and wants to make the fight happen on a specific date and location
Bryce Mitchell guaranteed Movsar Evloev that a showdown between the two of them could finally happen this time but that is only if the Russian could make himself available on the date and location “Thug Nasty” provided.
Bryce laid it out for Movsar
Mitchell vs. Evloev had already been booked twice in the past, but injuries prevented the match from taking place. Recently, Evloev checked in on Mitchell and asked if he is still down to fight.
“So when are you gonna be ready to go Bryce Mitchell? I heard you said it won’t take long, otherwise just publicly admit that you want nothing to do with me,” Evloev wrote on a tweet.

It did not take long for “Thug Nasty” to make a response. As expected, Mitchell agreed and challenged Evloev to make it happen on Aug. 5th in Nashville, Tennessee.
“Hey Movsar, I hear you still wanna fight me that’s good because I’m looking for somebody to fight. How about August 5th in Nashville? Till then I got a bigger fish to fry than you, buddy.”
Top 10 Contender Eliminator Bout
Looking at the current UFC featherweight rankings, a fight between Mitchell and Evloev makes sense as it could serve as a Top 10 contender eliminator bout.
Mitchell, who is currently the No. 10 featherweight contender ended his six-fight UFC winning streak when he lost via submission to Ilia Topuria at UFC 282. On the other hand, Evloev has gone unbeaten in all of his seven fights under the UFC banner. His latest win was a unanimous decision victory over Diego Lopes at UFC 288. A win over “Thug Nasty” could certainly see him break into the 145-pound division’s Top 10.
