Bruce Buffer Clicks Post-Fight With “True Warrior” Holly Holm

The UFC may have closed out the year with perhaps the most disappointing pay per view (PPV) of 2017, but at least the main event brought some fireworks.

UFC 219’s main event saw two of the biggest names in mixed martial arts Cyborg square off against Holm in front of a loud T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Unfortunately, Holly Holm came up short on the judge’s scorecards after twenty-five minutes of back and forth action and Cyborg successfully defended her UFC featherweight title.

It was an awesome performance from Cyborg, who, despite losing two rounds, won the fight with ease and hardly have a blemish on her face.

Cris Cyborg became the second ever UFC Women’s Featherweight Champ when she finished Tonya Evinger at UFC 214 in July.

Cyborg record of 18-1 (1 NC) with 16 of those 18 wins coming by way of knockout (KO). But she was facing the most accomplished striker in her career to date.

A patient Cyborg waited for Holly to make a move early on, counter punching every attack from ‘Preachers Daughter.’ In fact, the fight went the distance; Holm really had no answers for Cyborg. Justino did not show any signs of exhaustion and tagged Holly over and over.

After the fight, Bruce Buffer took to social media with a picture of him and Holly Holm, glorifying her for being a true warrior.

“@HollyHolm is true Warrior both in “Victory & Defeat”… Words cannot describe my respect & fandom for her… I feel so honored to call her my friend. She is a true example of “To Be Great Is To Be Humble”   #UFC” – Bruce Buffer

Holly Holm (11-4) has since down to 1-4 over her last five fights.
