Brock Lesnar will fight Fedor Emelianenko in an unsanctioned MMA fight

My eyes exploded individually and simultaneously exploded when I read that Fedor’s camp is in the process of organizing an unsanctioned MMA fight between Fedor Emeianenko and Brock Lesnar. Since M-1 Global has been removed from Dana White’s Christmas card list after failed negotiations with M-1 Global (apparently ‘Co-promotion’ is the new black), Vadim Finkelstein has decided to do a little circumnavigation (that’s your big word for the day) and talk with Brock Lesnar’s sponsor, Deathclutch, to hold an exhibition MMA match. Check out what Vadim has to say in an interview with 5thRound:

“Fedor just recently saw the fight between Frank Mir and Brock Lesnar at UFC 100 and made it clear to me that he wants to pursue a fight with Brock Lesnar…But of course an official MMA fight cannot be set up between the two – however, we have decided to pursue Death Clutch (Brock Lesnar’s camp) and we are currently trying to work out an unsanctioned MMA fight that would be passed off as a sparring session.”

“We do not want this to happen to prove Fedor isn’t scared like many say but because Fedor [Emelianenko] wants this fight more than any other fight and knows the fans want to see it also.”

Wow. Just…wow. If you listen closely you can hear Dana White’s head detonating somewhere in Las Vegas. The fight will be recorded and streamed live on M-1 Global and Fedor’s website. Whenever the official date is announced, I’ll reattach my eyes to their respective socket and let you guys know. [Source]

*Update* – Someone hacked into 5thRound.com earlier today have been posting erroneous articles. The unsanctioned MMA bout between Fedor vs. Lesnar is false. Bummer.
