Brock Lesnar Lost WWE Belt To Roman Reigns At SummerSlam

Brock Lesnar Can Now Fully Focus On His UFC Return

Roman Reigns said an epic threat to Brock Lesnar and Dana White recently which made us all laugh. Yet, he has proved he is a man of his word. Reigns defeated the former UFC Heavyweight champion in the main event of WWE SummerSlam in Barclays Center in New York City. Brock Lesnar can now start preparing for the UFC title shot versus Daniel Cormier.

Braun Strawman entered the ring before the match and started threatening to Brock Lesnar. As soon as the fight started, Roman Reigns performed a few amazing double legs. Brock did his favorite suplex city few times too. Reigns flew through the ropes, and Strawman jumped in, trying to protect Reigns. But he was only able to make Brock angry. The Conqueror slammed him with a chair. Brock launched “Money In The Bank” briefcase and even broke the LED light!

Yet, this distraction gave an advantage to Roman Reigns, who took Brock down effectively. Roman Reigns intercepted Lesnar’s chair hit with a flying double leg takedown and won the match.

Lesnar is expected to fight Daniel Cormier at the beginning of 2019 if USADA finds nothing suspicious in his body. He has already had clomiphene issues back in 2016 when he got a one-year suspension. But according to Dave Meltzer, Brock hasn’t signed the UFC contract yet. Meltzer also stated Lesnar has a good reason for signing short-term deals.

It leaves the door open for Lesnar’s WWE return if he changes his mind. Brock Lesnar is only interested in a lot of money and world-class popularity. So all options are still opened. Unless some strange twist happens, Brock Lesnar (5-3, 1 NC MMA, 4-3, 1 NC UFC) will be fighting Daniel Cormier in early 2019 for the UFC Heavyweight title.
