Breaking: Kevin Lee Misses Weight For UFC 216, His Fight Is In Jeopardy

UFC Champion Kevin Lee (16-2 MMA, 9-2 UFC) missed the initial weight a 155-pound mark for his interim title bout against Tony Ferguson (23-3 MMA, 13-1 UFC). Tony Ferguson “El Cucuy” weight in was on the dot 155 pound, while Lee is little over the scale.

Kevin “The Motown Phenom” Lee, was the last contender to arrive before stepping on the scale. He looked confident that he had made the desired weight, but they announced that he failed to make it to 155 pounds.

Immediately after, Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) executive director Bob Bennett cited the rule and gave him one hour window to shed the weight with a clearance from the physician.

UFC 216 takes place October 7, Saturday at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and airs on pay-per-views with preliminary bouts on FX and the UFC Fight Pass.

As per recent reports came out, Kevin Lee attempted second time on the scale and score the scale at 154.5 and saved his interim lightweight title bout against Tony Ferguson. After all the chaos both fighters will showcase their skills in the octagon tomorrow.
