Does anyone remember that fighting game released in the late-90s in which you could get your limbs severed or broken and still continue to fight? There’s a chance the previously mentioned game doesn’t even exist and throughout my teenage years, some aspect of my mind manifested it. Come on guys, don’t continue to let me think I’m crazy — crazier. If that game doesn’t exist, then we’re far past due for a highly unrealistic and ultra-violent fighter to debut in arcades around America. Ah, who am I kidding — arcades don’t even exist anymore. Did they even exist in the first place? My reality has corroded into a realm of trap doors and Double Dare obstacle courses. Nothing is safe in there.
This morning, one of our Brazilian readers submitted this video of a fighter getting his arm visibly broken and still pressing on to fight. The bout takes place in Belo Horizonte, Brazil — the bar capital of the country. Unfortunately the referee was competent (dammit) and stopped the fight at the proper time.
