Brandon Moreno fought Kai Kara France in the co-main event of the night for the interim title at UFC 277 in Dallas, Texas.

Round 1

Kara-France opened things up with some outside low kicks. Moreno on the outside stays cautious in his movement. Low blow by Kara-France urges Moreno to call for a time-out.
Moreno resumes the fight with a high kick attempt. Now, Kara-France is on the outside circling Moreno. Left hand from Moreno connects. Inside leg kick by Kara-France. Big right hand by Kai lands. Moreno shoots for a takedown but doesn’t get it.

Round 2

Kai goes for an overhand right and Moreno dodges with a counter takedown attempt miss. Moreno making good use of his kicks with one to the inside leg and the other to the body. Head kick missed by Kara-France gets Moreno his back. Kara-France escapes and fires back a heavy leg kick. Good left hook from Kara-France. Both men starting to let go a bit more in the round now towards the final 90 seconds. More leg kicks by Kara-France. Moreno turning up the pressure here.

Round 3

Moreno’s kick blocked by Kara-France who trips him to the floor and lays the ground and pound. Big shots by Kara-France open a bad cut under Moreno’s right eye. Both are up again and get back to trading shots. Nice elbow by Kara-France. Kara-France feints to go in with an uppercut. Another beautiful shot from Kara-France before landing a heavy leg kick. More striking being displayed here. Moreno lands a big leg kick. Nice jab from Moreno followed up by a kick to the body. Moreno turning the pace up here. Kara-France shoots for a takedown. Moreno hits a strong leg kick that drops Kara-France. A flurry of punches calls for an end to the contest.
