Boxing Champ Gervonta Davis Calls Out TJ Dillashaw For Potential MMA Bout

Gervonta Davis Trade Shots With Bantamweight Champion TJ Dillashaw For MMA Bout

One of the most fierce rivalries in the history of MMA came to its conclusion when TJ Dillashaw successfully defended the bantamweight title after beating Cody Garbrandt via first-round TKO at UFC 227 from the Staples Center in Los Angeles last weekend.

After winning the title at UFC 227, Henry Cejudo called out bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw, moreover former champion Dominick Cruz also keen to lock horns against ‘The Viper’ and few more including Marlon Moraes, Rafael Assuncao also in line. Now another contender who’s not even the MMA fighter interested in knocking out TJ.

Shortly after Dillashaw scores, a win over Cody Garbrandt, two-time super featherweight boxing champion Gervonta Davis called out him for MMA bout.

“I wanna fight that dude that fought Cody yesterday,” the undefeated boxer said on Twitter in the wake of Dillashaw’s win.

Davis clarified his stance that he wants to fight under MMA rule.

Dillashaw promptly responds and accepted the fight.

“Bring it!,” the UFC bantamweight champ said. “I heard they were handing out belts after Loma left your division.”

And then both exchanged heated words afterward:

“Is this really you Tweeting or it’s ya hoe John that tweet for you and Loma,” Davis said.

“You wish it was someone else tweeting for me because you know you just put your foot in your mouth,” Dillashaw said.

“If he dares to step in the Octagon I would love to show him how my shin taste,” Dillashaw added, replying to a separate Tweet. “Think he’s a over rated boxer as well with that padded record and I beat him in the ring. [Gervonta] I ain’t scared.”

“Let’s make it happen then pussy,” Davis said.

“I kno I’ll knock TJ out,” the boxer added.

Well, it’s an interesting call out for TJ Dillashaw and this is unlikely the bout will ever happen as Davis will get his ass whooped in MMA fight. Dillashaw has several contenders in line to face him.

Who do you think Dillashaw should face in his next title defense?
