  • The three-time NCAA Division I champion has issued a warning to all middleweights

Heading into his maiden professional MMA fight, Bo Nickal has already become one of the hottest subjects of discussion, having claimed that he could beat former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov in about “60 seconds.” Now, he has proven that he’s not just about hype as he made quick work of his opponent during their middleweight bout at Jorge Masvidal’s iKON FC 3.

A 30 seconds KO

Nickal entered the cage Friday equipped with wrestling skills, having won the NCAA Division I championship three times. However, he didn’t need any of that as he managed to flatten his fellow pro-MMA debutant John Noland with a flurry of punches just 30 seconds after the opening bell.

The 26-year-old was able to land a hard left that immediately wobbled Noland. A devastating three-punch combination from Nickal followed suit, knocking the living lights out of the 36-year-old.

Nickal calls out all middleweights

After his stunning victory, Nickal took the opportunity to put all middleweight fighters across all top-tier promotions, swearing that wrestlers will certainly take over the sport sooner rather than later.

“Every single middleweight on the planet, I don’t care what organization you’re in, UFC, Bellator, PFL – doesn’t matter, I’m coming for all y’all,” Nickal said during his post-fight interview. “I’m trying to hold it down for all my wrestlers out there. I love y’all, and wrestling’s taking over for sure.”

At this point, it’s safe to say that Nickal has already become an MMA star in the making. Let’s see what lies ahead of him in the near future.
