Blast to the Past: Let’s revisit Kimbo’s only street fight loss

It was ten years ago when Kimbo Slice was making his rounds on the early days of social media and websites that hosted video, and even though Kimbo left a path of destruction through backyards, boatyards and other types of yards that I can’t seem to think of, there was one man who was able to stop the Kimbo Slice frate trane on tape. This was a man known as Sean Gannon. Sean Gannon was a Boston cop (still is) who welcomed Kimbo into his dojo for the first bare knuckle unsanctioned fight outside of Kimbo’s home-state of Florida. What went down is one of the wildest cluster****s in fighting history. This is essentially Street MMA with adults that are making up the rules as they go along, and this ‘win’ even got Sean a fight in the UFC, and the cover of the Boston Herald.
