BJ Penn will probably fight in Abu Dhabi

I have a friend named Amir. This guy Amir packed his bags and moved to Abu Dhabi a few years ago. He said every car is like a gold plated Rolls Royce and sheiks bumps techno remixes of 50 cent songs. I’m pretty sure drinking is illegal and if caught, the punishment is like slicing off your tongue or something. I could be wrong, but if that’s the case…Joe Rogan can’t complain about the ‘casual drunken meathead‘ fans at UFC 112 in Abu Dhabi. UFC 112 is going down in the Middle East and it looks like The Prodigy may make a celebrity appearance. Here’s what Sherdog had to say about the potential Abu Dhabi bangemite fest.

“We talked to Dana White. We were trying to get on the March 27 card…but that card already had two title fights on it,” Penn said in a video interview on his official site Wednesday. “It looks like we’ll be fighting April 10 in Abu Dhabi. Nothing’s signed, so (it’s) a tentative date…”

Abu Dhabi is great for BJ Penn. Every place is great for BJ Penn. BJ Penn’s stand-up knows no home. It’s like one of those kids in Mad Max Beyond the Thunderdome. No opponent is set for his Abu Dhabi bout, but if Maynard or Frankie Edgar pops up, don’t be surprised. Dude’s cleared out the lightweight division, now he’s just remodeling. [Source]
