Charles Oliveira vs. Conor McGregor? That fight may not be so far off from reality. At least that’s what Michael Bisping believes.

Title Shot?

The former UFC Middleweight Champion believes we just may see that title fight take place in the foreseeable future. Like Dana White said, there’s a lot of ‘variables’ going into another title shot for ‘The Notorious’. But, with the way things are going, Bisping thinks it may happen sooner rather than later.

“Dana said that [Islam] Makhachev now has to fight Beneil Dariush before he can fight for the title. I think that sets up a Conor fight,” Joe Rogan told Bisping on his podcast.

Bisping would reply to Rogan.

“That’s probably why,” Bisping said. “[Conor] did an interview and said, ‘yeah, I think I’m coming and fighting for the belt’. It’s wild but if you are the company, would you want that to happen? You probably would.

“The reality is that Conor’s best days are long gone. They’re behind him. You can’t stay at the top forever.”

Most Winnable Fight For McGregor In The Top 5

While ‘The Count’ believes McGregor is out of his prime, he does like the Irishman’s chances against one name in particular. It’s no other than the champ himself, Charles Oliveira.

“I’ll tell you this, though. If there’s a person that you put them against the top five to beat, it will be Charles Oliveira. Charles is hittable and Connor can still f*cking hit. Charles is hittable… He’s not superman.

“Who else is there?” Bisping added. “Islam wouldn’t be good. Chandler would probably wrestle [McGregor]. So in terms of stylistic matchup, [it’s Oliveira]. I’m just saying though, there’s a potential Conor comes back, beats Charles Oliveira and becomes champion again. I don’t think I could deal with the world if that happens.”

The only thing standing between a fight between Charles Oliveira and Conor McGregor is Justin Gaethje. ‘The Highlight’  is supposed to be the next title challenger after most recently defeating Michael Chandler. However, his next title shot has not been made official just yet. That of course leaves many to wonder if ‘The Notorious’ gets another crack at gold.
