Bilal Hasan already has his UFC debut booked. The unbeaten flyweight will face Nilson Rojas at UFC Shanghai on August 29, a little more than two weeks after earning his contract on Dana White’s Contender Series.
Marcel Dorff posted the matchup on Thursday and credited Inka MMA with the first report. His post listed Hasan vs. Rojas for the Shanghai card and placed another undefeated flyweight matchup on an event already built around Umar Nurmagomedov vs. Song Yadong.

Hasan Turns Around Quickly After DWCS Finish
Hasan moved to 9-0 on Tuesday night in Las Vegas, where he knocked out Mridul Saikia in 45 seconds. The official UFC on Paramount+ account posted the finish clip and described Hasan as the biggest betting favorite in DWCS history.

The booking keeps Hasan active while the flyweight division is moving quickly. Joshua Van is lined up for a rematch with Alexandre Pantoja at UFC 331, and UFC Shanghai now gives Hasan a chance to introduce himself before that title picture plays out.
Rojas also enters with a 9-0 record. The Peruvian flyweight has not yet fought in the UFC, so the matchup pairs two undefeated newcomers instead of easing Hasan in after his Contender Series performance.
UFC Shanghai is scheduled for August 29 at Shanghai Indoor Stadium. Nurmagomedov vs. Song headlines the card, while Yan Xiaonan vs. Denise Gomes is listed as the co-main event. Hasan vs. Rojas adds another flyweight fight to a card that already carries major relevance for the Asian market and the next layer of the 125-pound division.
Hasan’s rapid booking also continues a busy run for Contender Series graduates and prospects. The UFC recently placed Bella Mir in an August 25 DWCS main event, and Hasan now gets the immediate call on a numbered international Fight Night slot after one of the quickest finishes from the season.
