Apparently large, hairy mythological creatures don’t care if you’ve been juicing up on steroids. In the Sasquatch community, anabolic steroids injected by humans is just another way for mankind to level the playing field between monster and human. So Antonio Bigfoot Silva calling out Josh Barnett for a fight in Sengoku shouldn’t surprise you. A couple of weeks ago we told you that Bigfoot, who’s the still the champion of EliteXC (RIP), was coming back to the MMA scene and confirmed to fight in the upcoming Sengoku X (that’s ‘ten’ for all those people who chose Pogs over 5th grade). An opponent hasn’t been announced for the event so why not have Josh Barnett…the dude is licensed to fight in Sengoku and his steroid debacle doesn’t hold any weight in Japan. Here’s what Antonio ‘Bigfoot’ Silva said about the upcoming fight after his grunts and Sasquatch yells were translated to English:
“I don’t know who it could be, I don’t have the slightest idea,” he affirmed. But, given the choice, Pezão already has someone he’d like to see on the other side of the ring. “I’d like it to be Josh Barnett, since he won’t be fighting in the United States. He has a contract with Sengoku and is trained, so who knows why this fight wouldn’t happen,”
If you’re not familiar with Bigfoot, dude has a sick 12-1 record and holds three friggin belts. If Affliction didn’t flop in the course of a few hours, I would have loved to see Bigfoot go toe to toe with Fedor. Hell, I would have loved anyone to go toe to toe with Fedor. RIP Affliction. [Source]
