Ben Rothwell wants to fight Alistair Overeem on New Year’s Eve in order to ‘beat his f****** a**’

Brendan Schaub has been defeated by Big Nog, Big Ben and Big Country. Something tells me Brendan should stay the hell away from the Big Apple and never super size his meals for the rest of his life.

We’ve all seen the romoshops Rothwell handed the MMA community after his UFC 145 win over Brendan Schaub. Now in this Sherdog Radio interview, it appears Ben Rothwell wants to now take on the former Strikeforce heavyweight champion, DREAM heavyweight champion and K-1 Grand Prix heavyweight champion on New Year’s Eve and he wants to ‘beat his f****** a**.’

I’m going to beat whoever that is. I don’t care. Whoever it is, whoever you guys want to see me beat, I’m going to beat them in August. After that, I believe Alistair Overeem will be issued his license back December 27. That makes a perfect time for me to fight him New Year’s Eve, making me the number one contender after I beat his f—ing ass. I’m going to beat him and then I’m going to fight whoever the champion is after that. That is my plan.

When high school teachers stressed the need to have a plan in life, it appears Ben Rothwell took their advice. We’re not sure if Ubereem is fighting on New Year’s Eve, but we definitely wish the dude was fighting Junior dos Santos this month in Las Vegas. Bummer. [Source]
