As I type this, one of the strangest post fight press conferences since Dana White and Nick Diaz’s back and forth at UFC 137 is going down. Here’s some play by play: Dana is hunched over the podium angrily gripping while explaining how much the referees at UFC 149 sucked. Then he kind of just accepts the irony of Tim Boetsch possibly breaking his foot on Hector Lombard and exclaims and curses. Then White is peeved. Seriously peeved. There are multiple expressions of disappointment in the card and then Dana pulls out an old school reference and says this is the worst show since UFC 33. Which is really, really bad. Then Matt Riddle calls out Dan Hardy and Dana jokes about him hating British people. Unbelievably, it turns out a UK fan spit in Riddle’s mouth in Manchester and Riddle goes off on a rant that has to be seen to be believed.
You know it’s bad when Ben Askren tweets this:
Even Hendo got in on it.
