Ben Askren Reacts On His 5-second KO Loss At UFC 239, Jorge Masvidal Responds

Ben Askren Was Quick To Shared His Feeling Shortly After Getting KO’d To Jorge Masvidal

Last night (Sat, July 6, 2019) was a bad night was former ONE Championship and Bellator MMA champion Ben Askren.

As soon a fight started, Jorge Masvidal quickly moved in and hurled a violent flying knee to the head of Askren. Askren immediately went down like a sack of potatoes. Masvidal rushed in and landed a few more vicious right hands on a downed opponent before the referee Jason Herzog stepped in and stopped the fight. ‘Gamebred’ scored the fastest finish in the UFC history after knocking out ‘Funky’ in just five seconds into round one at UFC 239 PPV.

Immediately after the fight, Askren rushed to the hospital, but the results came out negative as per Dana White.

“He’s good,” UFC head honcho Dana White revealed after the event. “All of his stuff came back negative. So, he’s OK. I’m sure he’s not OK, but you know …”

Askren didn’t show up at post-fight presser, but he took to social media and summed up his feelings on his loss.

“Well that sucked”

After acknowledging Askren’s message, Jorge Masvidal posted a message mocking ‘Funky’ with a photo where ‘Gamebred’ was punching him on the canvas.

”Ben is still sleeping,” Masvidal wrote alongside the caption #fakenews.

Masvidal’s record-setting win at UFC 239 could very well put him in the title shot next. So ‘Gamebred’ can take on the winner of Colby Covington vs. Robbie Lawler if all goes well.
