Ben Askren Confronted Furious Kamaru Usman Backstage Before UFC 235 Press Conference, Dana White And Security Stepped In!
Since he joined UFC, Ben Askren literally trash-talked and provoked everybody in his way. The former ONE FC Welterweight champion challenged many 170-pound names to fight him and took part in so many social media wars. This time, “Funky” confronted Kamaru Usman.
Kamaru Usman and Ben Askren have a history. Askren offered Usman to fight him for an interim title and save UFC 233. “The Nigerian Nightmare” was set to meet Colby “Chaos” Covington. Yet, it didn’t happen and the whole event was canceled. Since then, the two are not friendly towards each other.
Askren trolled Usman in the video below.
Ben Askren also claimed that Kamaru Usman tried to attack him when the two came face-to-face backstage before UFC 235 press conference! (h/t MMAFighting.com)
“Marty tried attacking me 20 minutes ago”, Askren said.
Usman said he didn’t do that, and there was video proof of what exactly happened. The situation was tensed, but fists weren’t thrown because Dana White and security stepped in.
“Are me and Marty sitting next to each other?” Askren asked White.
“Do you know me?” – Usman asked.
“Yeah.” – Ben Askren said.
“How do you know me?” – Usman asked.
“I know you because we used to hang out. We used to hang out at the Olympic training center.” – Askren said.
“Be quiet. You don’t know me.” – Usman said.
“I offered to fight you. There’s not much more to be said there.” – Askren said.
Well, it looks like Usman Vs Askren beef is far from over.
I ain’t playing with these clowns man 👊🏾👊🏾
It seems Ben Askren “fears of Usman”.

Both Usman and Askren fight on UFC 235 so the two will see each other again for sure. Ben Askren fights Robbie Lawler while Kamaru Usman is set to meet Tyron Woodley in the co-main event of UFC 235. Do you think this verbal war is not over yet?
