Belal Muhammad Claims CM Punk Will Shock UFC Fans With His Performance

CM Punk prepares heavily for his showdown versus Mike Jackson at UFC 225. And now the most shocking news – this is the main card, and it is CM Punk’s second fight! Only Brock Lesnar got that kind of popularity!

Belal Muhammad trains with CM Punk at Roufusport, and he will step in the octagon one week earlier to face Chance Rencountre at UFC Fight Night 131. He has some positive comments for his teammate. (via sherdog.com)

“He’s working really hard. He’s improved a lot. I think people are gonna be really surprised about the show he’s gonna put on,” Muhammad told Sherdog.com. “Not a lot of people are giving him respect after his first fight. But as you can see, Mickey Gall was no joke. He went out there and he beat Sage Northcutt pretty easily.”

Despite his loss to Randy Brown at UFC 217, Mickey Gall is known as a very dangerous opponent. However, it is believed that he might be a too hard choice for CM Punk. Gall defeated CM Punk after only 2:14 in the first round via submission. Maybe CM should be a bit less destructive towards himself when it comes to the rival’s choice.

Mike Jackson was literally cleared off the mat by Mickey Gall (only 45 seconds was needed). Jackson was a Golden Gloves champion boxer and he has professional experience in kickboxing and boxing. Who knows, maybe CM Punk will clinch up early on and take the fight to the ground.

I feel like it’s gonna be more of a test for him, the right-sized test,” Muhammad said. “Gall was an undefeated kid and he was a brown belt. Mike Jackson is kind of like the same level as him, so it’ll be a good test for him to go out there and put on a show.”

What do you think, who will win this showdown? Can CM Punk take the fight to the ground early on?
