Top welterweight contenders will collide in Abu Dhabi.
Belal Will Battle Brady
A matchup between Belal Muhammad and Sean Brady is reportedly in the works for UFC 281 on Oct. 22. The UFC has yet to announce the fight but verbal agreements are currently in place. Full Violence was first to report the news.
The Lead-Up
If you recount correctly, ‘Remember The Name’ has been campaigning for a fight with superstar Khamzat Chimaev. On social media, Muhammad and Chimaev would agree to fight each other at UFC 281, but unfortunately for them, fights aren’t made on Twitter.
Instead of Chimaev, it looks like Muhammad will have to settle for Sean Brady.
Muhammad most recently avenged his loss to Vicente Luque last April. Gaining a unanimous win, he’d increase his win streak to 7. He looks to extend that to 8 when he meets Brady.
Brady will get his wish in fighting Muhammad… It’s been quite a while but Brady is finally back in the Octagon. The undefeated welterweight makes his return at UFC 281, nearly a year after his last win over Michael Chiesa.
In his MMA layoff, Brady has been picked up a couple of wins on the grappling mat. Brady has beaten BJJ superstar Craig Jones and UFC veteran Ben Saunders under the Fury Pro Grappling banner.
The 15-0 Brady looks to keep his record intact when he crosses paths with his biggest challenge to date: Belal Muhammad.
