When historians look back on this era of humanity, scholars will note that MMA officially died when Mayhem Miller submitted Sakuraba. It happened three years ago in DREAM, which paved Mayhem Miller’s return to the UFC in which he stared in TUF, lost two consecutive bouts, and then started running around naked in churches. Seems like a reasonable career progression.
Years ago we introduced what we thought was the greatest Sakuraba shirt ever constructed. It was the one he wore during a DREAM press conference that simply said ‘Protein, Water, Liquor.’ Now years later we have to relinquish that honor and award it to a new piece of apparel from Okkimonos.
