Bec Rawlings is looking to avenge her loss to Paige VanZant in a different sport.

Rawlings is set to return to action against Britain Beltran this Friday at BKFC 26. Without overlooking the danger presented by Beltran, the former UFC and Bellator veteran expressed interest in competing with Paige VanZant. The two ladies first met in August 2016 when VanZant finished Rawlings in the UFC.

Bec Rawlings wants to fight Paige VanZant in BKFC

Speaking to MMA Junkie ahead of her fight at BKFC 26, Bec Rawlings opened up about her desire to avenge the loss to VanZant.

“I’ve been asking for the fight against Paige VanZant just because we both have bad blood I guess. I have a bone to pick with her. She beat me in MMA with a really lucky kick and I think I was beating that ass until she got me with that, so I definitely feel that’s a fight I want.

“That’s a fight that makes sense, but it’s obviously not a title eliminator. I think she needs to get a win under her belt before anyone talks about that.”

VanZant recently made her pro wrestling debut under AEW and won the 6-person tag team contest. She first made the move over to bare-knuckle boxing in 2021 from MMA but dropped both fights she took part in, against Beltran and Rachael Ostovich.

Rawlings expected VanZant to lose

Following the news of VanZant signing with BKFC, Rawlings said that ’12 Gauge’ was naive and doubted her chances in the sport. She reinforced the same sentiment from about two years ago but believes VanZant can turn things around as well.

“When she got matched against Britain, I had a feeling she was going to lose. It’s a very green sport for her, and she’s not the strongest striker, and I know what Britain brings. I knew she would beat her.

“So, I was a little bit bummed that she lost, and then she lost a second time, and I was like, ‘Come on, girl. Get a win under your belt, so we can fight.’

“So that fight makes sense, but we’ll see what happens. I think she might, whoever they match her against, I think if she’s focusing on her boxing and changes up her game plan a little bit, I think she has a good shot.”

Rawlings will take on Beltran this weekend at BKFC 26. Given how big of a name PVZ is, a potential showdown between the two could happen if there’s enough interest from both parties regardless of the outcome of their next bouts.
