Let’s get right to it, grapplers. These two faced off in the heavyweight finals of the Abu Dhabi World Pro Jiu Jitsu Championships, New York Trials this past weekend.
We’re curious what think about this match up. I have to say I’m probably a bit biased toward Cyborg. He’s a crowd pleaser with an aerial, unique and even somewhat risky style (always open guard and usually inverted). How can you not love that? You can see in the match that he’s making great efforts to catch DJ (Jackson) in a tornado or otherwise inverted sweep. DJ, on the other hand, plays a tights grinder-type pressure-based top game. He’s got a wrestler’s style. It made for grueling match (to watch, and I’m sure to fight).
