Two French fighters found themselves kissing each other’s lips during what was supposed to be just an intense faceoff.
Their lips already made contact before the fight
In the world of MMA, faceoffs are typically charged with tension and anticipation, setting the stage for the upcoming clash. It was also the case when French MMA fighters Oualy Tandia and Christopher Drouillard Odena had their final staredown ahead of their welterweight showdown at Hexagone MMA 23.
However, what transpired was far from expected. As Tandia and Oden’s faces came closer to one another, they unintentionally leaned in too close, their lips touched leading to an accidental kiss.
Despite the undeniable fact that their lips had made contact, both fighters surprisingly maintained their focus on the staredown. They continued to lock eyes, determined to uphold the intensity of the moment. Yet, it was clear to everyone present that the atmosphere had shifted dramatically from intense to awkward following the unintentional kiss.

A three-round war
Tandia and Oden went on and fought for three rounds. In the end, it was the pro MMA debutant Tandia who prevailed, outmatching Oden en route a unanimous decision win.
While the win was impressive, it was the accidental kiss that MMA fans are talking about on the internet right now for obvious reasons.
