Arman Tsarukyan, currently No. 2 in UFC’s lightweight division, is stepping into a grappling super fight with former UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson. The match is booked for September 19, 2025, at Dynamo Volleyball Arena in Moscow, Russia.
Henderson, now 41, has not competed in MMA since losing to Usman Nurmagomedov at Bellator 292 in March 2023.
Though Tsarukyan has been inactive in pure MMA since his last fight at UFC 300 in April 2024, he has stayed active in grappling. Most recently, he beat Patricky “Pitbull” Freire by submission in May 2025, and also secured a unanimous decision win over Makkasharip Zaynukov earlier that same month.

These wins help him keep sharp ahead of this debut super fight in grappling.
Henderson enters grappling competition following his MMA retirement. Since then, he has engaged in grappling or combat sports-style matches outside MMA, showing he’s still active even in retirement.
Henderson also took part in a no-gi welterweight grappling bout against Neiman Gracie in the headline slot of ADXC 1 on October 20, 2023, where he was defeated by submission.
