Arman Tsarukyan was not booked to fight at MVP MMA 1, but he still ended up in the middle of a fight-night incident.
Tsarukyan was seen moving toward Namo Fazil from the stands after Fazil submitted Jake Babian on Saturday night at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. The clip surfaced during the Rousey vs. Carano event, shortly after Fazil closed his preliminary-card bout with a second-round finish.

Fazil beat Babian by anaconda choke at 0:58 of Round 2, according to Sherdog’s fight record. The win moved Fazil to 10-1 as a professional, with four knockout or TKO wins, four submission wins, and two decision wins.
Tsarukyan is 23-3 in MMA, with nine knockouts, six submissions, and eight decision wins. His most recent UFC appearance was a split-decision victory over former lightweight champion Charles Oliveira at UFC 300, a result that kept him near the front of the lightweight title picture.
Backstage Video Shows The Confrontation Continue
The dispute reportedly began earlier in fight week after Tsarukyan made livestream statements about Armenia’s Kurdish community. Fazil, who shares Armenian heritage, pushed back on those statements, and the issue carried into the event.
MVP later posted another video showing both groups involved backstage:

There is no obvious fight to make from the confrontation. Fazil is a welterweight competing outside the UFC, while Tsarukyan is a UFC lightweight contender with separate bookings already on his calendar. Tsarukyan is scheduled for RAF wrestling matches against influencer Mugzy on May 30 and former UFC interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson on June 13.
That Ferguson matchup was already set after Tsarukyan added Tony Ferguson to his RAF schedule. Tsarukyan has also stayed tied to UFC title business, with Dana White confirming him as backup for Ilia Topuria vs. Justin Gaethje at UFC Freedom 250.
MVP MMA 1 already produced major results, including Ronda Rousey submitting Gina Carano in 17 seconds and Francis Ngannou knocking out Philipe Lins. Tsarukyan’s incident with Fazil added a separate backstage story to a card that was already packed with familiar names.
