First it was Matt/Andrew from Iowa, now Ariel Helwani has been sent into the triple digit heat to mingle with intoxicated Texans during the official celebration for the Dallas Mavericks’ championship season. On paper, sending a Canadian with a camera into a congregation of Alamo remembering, high school football loving, gun toting cowboys (and children) asking about things not pertaining to the parade’s purpose could be trouble. Vancouver style trouble.
Alas, Ariel’s soothing demeanor and astonishing patience in the face of a myriad of ‘woo’s and people tightly closing their eyes and screaming incoherently into his microphone about basketball pay off in this somewhat awesome video.
