Are we going to see the foot on face submission defense more, now that it was employed so well last night at Bellator?

I was going to contact the dudes over at DstryrSG for some insight into this grappling phenomenon that is escaping an armbar by stepping on your opponent’s head with your foot, but then I Google image searched ‘foot+on+face’ with proper boolean operators and I lost an entire afternoon. How can I come back from Bruce Willis foot flower, or this picture I have trouble describing, and many sexually suggestive images that disturb me in ways I didn’t think I could be disturbed before?

You can’t. You can’t come back from that.

The foot on face submission escape employed so successfully by Jason Fischer last night at Bellator 82 got him out of a tight David Rickles armbar, although he went on to lose a close decision, but man if he didn’t open my eyes to this maneuver. Imagine if this was used more often and Jon Jones used the defense on Vitor Belfort.

Thanks to Reddit for the image! Now let’s contemplate Sony’s impending demise.
