Apparently Gina Carano is going to star in the female version of The Expendables

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that I hated The Expendables.  While I’m alone on this limb, I’m also not a fan of pop music, contemporary hip-hop, genetically modified food, American Apparel, Jay Leno, the United States Postal Service, and soccer.  If this article were titled “Apparently Gina Carano is going to star in the female version of Snatch” or “Apparently Gina Carano is going to star in the female version of The Big Lebowski,” I’d be far more excited to tell you about it.  Instead, we’re left with reality, and the reality is that action movies in the modern world have to include Gina Carano, or they cannot be made.  That’s not my opinion, the director-Adi Shankar actually said that:

“I don’t know how I’m supposed to make a movie that is supposed to be the female version of ‘The Expendables’ without Gina Carano in it. It would be like making Twix without caramel or Jamba Juice without jamba,”

In addition to this role, Gina still plans on staring in the next Fast and the Furious film, as well as John Stockwell’s “In the Blood”.  What I’m trying to say is… It doesn’t look like we’re going to see her fight again, probably ever.  I know we’ve come to that conclusion before, but we’re coming to it again because without a reference to MMA, or a potential return, the terrorists (in Hollywood) have won.
