If I only had my recorder when I met Antonio McKee at The Ultimate Chaos. Not only is the dude one of the chillest guys to be around but if his mouth were the hoover dam and it were responsible for holding back an ocean full of words, it would collapse in like 12 seconds. McKee speaks exactly what’s going through his head at any given moment. That’s his thing and I should have known it before I even walked up to him in registration at The Ultimate Chaos. I asked him if he had any beef with Bas Rutten on Inside MMA a few weeks ago. Antonio McKee then begin to tell me stuff that I can’t even repeat here. The dude says it even got to the point where he challenged Bas Rutten to a fight right there in the studio and if McKee lost to him, he would fork over $1,000 to Rutten. You could tell on the show these guys had it out for each other. It seemed like Bas kept on saying ‘your fights have to get more interesting’ and McKee responded with ‘I’m old, I’m not going to put my body on the line for a few thousand’ except add a few more explecitives that were edited out during the show. I really would like to tell you what the beef stemmed from but until I get an official interview with Antonio McKee, I’m going to have to back away (just like every girl you met this weekend. Except, when I say ‘you’ I really mean ‘me’).
Until that interview comes (hopefully this week) I can confirm that Antonio McKee’s next MFC title defense will be happening in September. I can also confirm that Antonio McKee, Albert Rios and Brett Cooper are good people (who like to eat pizza in the middle of a Casino lobby like they’ve been camping there for days).
