Yair Rodriguez Vs Jeremy Stephens Ruled No Contest Due To Eye Poke, But Angry Fans Didn’t Like The Uneventful Main Event Outcome!

UFC Fight Night 159 was a very promising fight card. In the main event of the evening, Mexican competitor Yair Rodriguez squared off against Jeremy Stephens, but the referee stopped the contest because of an eye poke after only 15 seconds.

Herb Dean tried as hard as possible to keep the fight going, he even gave “Lil Heathen” five minutes to recover, but Stephens was unable to open his eye, so the legendary ref had no choice. The match was ruled a no-contest, but angry fans went wild seconds later!

It seems they didn’t like the uneventful bout outcome. Angry fans started throwing bottles and popcorn down the center of the arena, and both Octagon warriors were ushered out of the cage.

Check the video below to see how it looked inside the cage:

Fans were definitively angry at “Lil Heathen”, bottles and popcorns were flying!

It was an unfortunate ending to a promising featherweight main event of the evening. Let’s hope Dana White will reschedule Yair Rodriguez vs Jeremy Stephens as soon as possible!
