Anderson Silva’s son Gabriel suffered his first loss after being stopped by Anthony Taylor.

Gabriel blames the ref

Taylor handed Silva his first defeat at the Misfits Boxing 17 event at 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland this past Saturday. The former Bellator fighter started out aggressive and successfully landed a number of power punches to the body of Silva in the opening round.

Taylor picked up where he left off in Round 2 and continued swinging at the UFC legend’s son. In the third round, “Pretty Boy” went for the finish and floored Silva with a huge right hand. Silva was able to get back on his feet before 10 seconds but referee Joerg Milke called to stop the fight after Taylor mauled the Brazilian with some more brutal shots.

Watch the highlight below:

On X, Silva voiced his disappointment and blamed the referee for what he believed was an early stoppage.

”Fair play to AT played the game accordingly, but that referee should find a different career path. But that’s was a good scrap, I’ll see you guys real soon!,” Silva wrote.

Taylor wants Till

On the other hand, Taylor has no plans of slowing down. He now wants to face UFC welterweight-turned-boxer Darren Till.

“Listen, Darren Till, what’s up?” Taylor said. “I know you want this smoke. I know you all want to see Darren Till get his ass whooped. Let’s go!”

Taylor’s win over Silva saw him successfully defending his light heavyweight title. He has now won four consecutive fights under the Misfits Boxing banner. Silva, meanwhile, is now 3-1, having won all of his first three bouts, including a decision win over TikTok star OJ Rosé.
