Anderson Silva says Jon Jones will be champion for a long time and he has no intention on moving up in weight

The minute Jon Jones pulled that crazy underhook-backflip of Stephan Bonnar at UFC 94, everyone knew why people called him ‘Bones’. Actually, no one knows why they call him Bones. I have a friend named Jon Jones and we call him Bones — but there never really was an explanation. I guess we were just sort of lazy that day. If you saw the Jon Jones I know, you would call him ‘Big-Boned’, and he will probably sit in the corner and cry. Damn you for making him depressed.

Anderson Silva was interviewed in English by UltMMA and in the clip, The Spider gives Bones Jones all of his necessary props and then states that he has no plans on moving up (or down) in weight, sorry GSP.

“Jon Jones is, I don’t know, amazing. …In my opinion, Jon Jones is the best for this category. (He’ll be) champion for a long time.”

“I’m very happy in my category, I have my problems in my category,” he said. “I don’t have plans (to move up or down).”

Well, it looks like the only ‘superfights’ that we’ll be seeing is when Strikeforce eventually merges with UFC, but by that time don’t be surprised if Anderson Silva is retired from the sport. The guy turns 36 in a few weeks, and for some readers out there, he’s old enough to be your dad. Just think about that, then come back tomorrow with a three-paragraph essay about your thoughts.
