Anderson Silva’s manager thinks the entire UFC middleweight division is a joke and says they’re all amatuers

The sun decided it wasn’t feeling well halfway through the day and had to hide behind the earth a bit early.  Dark clouds picked up the remaining hours that the sun left behind and it rained pretty hard.  If you were stuck in a NYC office building, you had a choice of getting soaked worse than jumping directly into a swimming pool with all your clothes on, or practicing your best Ryan Jimmo post fight victory dance in the lobby. Some people blame the rain on a cold front, but the truth is that the world is reacting the only way it knows how after hearing the comments from Anderson Silva’s manager, Jorge Guimaraes.

When asked by Tatame how he felt about the other competitors in the middleweight division who’ve won their last fights and suggested they’ll be the first to knock out or submit Anderson in the UFC, he had this to say,

“That’s a big joke,” Silva’s manager, Jorge Guimaraes, said about Chris Weidman, Tim Boetsch and Alan Belcher’s challenges.
“Everybody saw that it worked for Chael, and he got really famous with that, and now everybody wants to be on the spotlight”.

“No opponent makes sense for Anderson at this moment. Unless we do a catchweight against Georges St. Pierre,” he suggests. “They didn’t offer the fight, but he’s the only one that could do a super fight. Anderson has the biggest paycheck in the UFC, and you can’t promote an event with these amateur kids that are coming up now”.

Not sure if the sun going down early has absolutely anything to do with this; it might just be a random act of weather.  In an alternate universe where the center of our galaxy has feelings, and those feelings disagree with Jorge Guimaraes, look for it to be four to five degrees hotter tomorrow in Brazil.  If you happen to be reading this article from an internet café in Rio, ask the cashier if he has any sunscreen behind the wall of calling cards.
