Amanda Nunes: A Fight With Cris Cyborg Is The One Everyone Wants To See

Amanda Nunes ready to leave a mark on combat sport with Cris Cyborg fight.

A few years back, fight between Cyborg and Rousey had been highly anticipated, here is yet another obstacle in the way of the biggest women’s MMA fight in history. Cris Cyborg to attempt to make 135 pounds, enter the UFC and fight Ronda Rousey for the women’s bantamweight title. It was always an issue of Cyborg making 135 lbs. However, plans changed after Ronda Rousey’s loss to Holl Holm at UFC 193 in November and the opportunity for a big female super fight died.

Reigning queen Cris Cyborg who scores a dominant victory over a woman who dethrones Ronda Rousey, a former bantamweight champ Holly Holm at UFC 219. After defending her title successfully, Cyborg said she had been offered a fight with Invicta FC champion Megan Anderson at UFC 221, which she had accepted it. Later Megan denies those claims.

Recently, UFC president Dana White said it’s the fight that needs to happen, shortly after Cris Cyborg disagrees.

Cyborg wrote on her official website making a case for a fight with Anderson or Invicta FC contender Pam Sorenson.

Amanda Nunes who initially wasn’t too fond of the idea of fighting featherweight champ Cyborg, but after scoring a successful second back-to-back title defense with a split decision win over Valentina Shevchenko at UFC 215, she open to the idea of a super fight with Cyborg.

Nunes took to social media on Friday to announce that she is interested in challenging Cyborg:

First of all, I have nothing personal against @criscyborg I do believe it is the fight that everyone wants to see and a fight where we can both leave our marks on this sport.

Amanda Nunes vs Cris Cyborg indeed will be the greatest female super fight to date.
